Celebrate our first anniversary of marriage!

July 20, 2005

It has been more than half a year since our last update of the website. Many things happened during this period of time.

We lived in Boston for one semester and then moved back to Texas in May.

I am going to quit the PhD and go to work for Maxim, in Sunnyvale, CA; while Xiaoqing is applying for graduate schools in CA.

I will be working on an update of all the pages, esp. the PhotoAlbum part. Let's see ...

June 22, 2005

I have just bought a handphone. The number is 1-979-739-5511.

Sept. 19, 2004

Sept. 18 is a day that all Chinese should never forget.

Sept. 18, 2004

I come back to College Station finally. Hope my wife can get the visa soon.

It is really ridiculous that a PhD student spent more time on visa than on research.

Sept. 9, 2004

My visa is checked in Beijing; Xiaoqing didn't get the visa either. Many things unexpected happened. Carelessness results in a big lessen.

Aug. 8, 2004

Xiaoqing and I are married today.

July 20, 2004

I am going back to China to get married next week and may come back to College Station with Xiaoqing around early August. During this period, You may contact me through email or by calling 86-13556885802.

It is a special day for all Chinese. We are so excited to see our spacecraft has landed successfully!

I am so glad to introduce one of my best friends, who is such a big talent - Zhenying Luo to you. I just know his new website. I have put it in my Friendslinks. I strongly recommend it to you.

To Luo Zhenying: I will be looking forward to seeing you and Miss Yang in USA. Hope you come to A&M, however I will also be glad if you go to a better school.

Good luck!

I haven't updated here for quite a long time because I was fighting with the endless homework and lab reports. I have seldom slept before one o'clock in the past weeks. Fortunately, I am getting adapted to the busy life and begin to be able to squeeze some time for research.

The life here reminds me of the saying that PhD is "Permanent Head Damage". It is a joke, but it is true in some aspects.

Sep. 28, 2003

Today is Friday. After back from the last class this week, I am sitting in the lab. Putting the boring lab reports and assignments unfinished aside, I put on the earphone. When the music is around, I feel that is the most easy time in the day.

I like the "Xiao Yuan Min Yao - College Music", esp. "Qing Chun - the Youth" and "Na Tian -On that day". It may be the best golden period in our life. We were just so young, so energetic, so curious to the world, and so firmly hold the faith in love. It is like a purely blank paper. Everything will fade when compared to those years.

I think I may know why many people like to be a teacher. Because they love their youth. They just want to keep it by staying with the boys and girls everyday.

Time is cruel. It takes away many things no matter how we cherish them. We finally find we now have so many things we have to do and so many responsibilities we have to take up. All these are just because we are men instead of boys now.

It is painful when I decide to abandon the email cnboy@163.net. It should be my first email, if cnboy@hippo.nwpu.edu is not. I abandon it actually because I think "boy" is going to be a title not suitable for me. Looking at the boys and girls on campus, I feel I am old. I know I am still pretty young compared to most of the guys in our lab. But it is not denying the boy time is leaving.

It is the fate. No matter we like it or not, we have to follow. It is a way we cannot turn back...

Ok. Just stop here today. I have to go back to the assignments. The due days are coming. Now it is almost a kind of luxury for me to spend some time thinking what I like to think. :0(

I put the two songs I like in my webpage. You may feel what I feel if you have similar experience as me.

It is going to be Mid-Autumn Festival again. Time seems flying especially when you look back at the road you once passed...

I can hardly recall the last Mid-Autumn Festival I spent at home. I also don't know when the next festival I can spend at home is...

Sep. 9, 2003

I am tired of the several dishes I can cook.  :O(

I begin to miss the food in China. Seems it is more important to practice cooking than to learn driving before coming to US.

Sep. 6, 2003

I find it a big  job to manage so many email accounts I have now. So I decide to abandon some of them. The only email which you are recommended to contact me is wangxf@ieee.org. You may receive emails from me sent through other email accounts, but it is recommended to reply to this email address only.  The email cnboy@163.net which I have used for more than five years will be abandoned gradually.

I will also abandon the email account wangxfnet@hotmail.com, and I will change my msn account to wangxf@ieee.org. If you want to add me to your friends list, please use this one. Those who are already on my list will be informed of the change.

I have got a seat in AMSC (Analog and Mixed-signal Center), EE Dept., TAMU today. I have already updated my office address in the webpage "Contact Me". Frankly, the lab situation is a bit disappointing. I feel I was in NWPU again. But the printing and copying here are still free like those in Singapore. That is good.

Sep. 4, 2003

Tomorrow is the first class day. My happy days are going to be over.

Aug. 31, 2003

I will be working on the construction of "YiGe Space", certainly with the help from Xiaoqing, since she is now freed from the exam.

The first "YiGe Space" can be traced back to my first website, which was created when I was a junior student in 1998. Xiaoqing and I will try to make this one much better.

Aug. 26, 2003

Today I put some photos of my apartment online.

Aug. 25, 2003

I have moved into a two-bedroom apartment. The community is called Casa Blanca, about 15-minute walking distance  from the university. I will put some photos of my apartment online later.

I have also updated the webpage Contactme with my current address and phone number.

Aug. 22, 2003

I have already arrived at Texas A&M in the evening of Aug. 13th (local time which is 13 hours later than the Beijing time, So now here is 0:57am Aug. 15 while in Beijing it should be 1:57pm Aug. 15).

Now I am living in a on-campus residence hall temporarily and  I am very likely to move into a two-bedroom apartment tomorrow.

Have to sleep. It is already very late.

Aug. 15, 2003

I have updated my website to 100M. Will put more pictures online. Those pictures which were removed temporarily will be recovered soon.

I have come back home from Beijing. I will terminate my handphone very soon. So You can contact me at my home phone 0370-2265038. I will leave for Beijing again on about Aug. 11 and fly to US on Aug. 13.

Aug. 6, 2003

Today is one day that changes and will change my life so greatly. I get the US visa. I hoped I could get it when I didn't have it. But once I hold it at hand, I find I have pushed myself to such a long and tough way.

Aug. 4, 2003

I am upgrading the website with more space. Before the upgrading is finished, some pictures will be removed temporarily. Some pages in Photo Album may not be displayed properly.

Today I put the photos with Song Xianhong, Yu Hailong at Hefei, and He Lin at Nanjing online.

I also add two new columns: Reading Digest, where some good essays will be introduced; and Fun Stuff, where some fun pictures, mp3, or movie clips will be listed. The two columns will be updated more frequently than others.

Jul. 24, 2003

I have run out of all the 50M space applied, so cannot upload new pictures and webpages. I will solve the problem later.

Today, I put Yilun's website in my Friendslinks.

Jul. 12, 2003

Just back from Nanjing. I am updating the website with some new photos taken at Hefei and Nanjing.

Jul. 8, 2003

Today's special are some excellent photos from Zhang Jun who is just back from a conference in Italy. They are at Photo Album->Photos taken by Zhang Jun.

Jun. 27, 2003

Just being back from Hongjie's website, pretty cute pictures especially those on the hill and underwater. I know he was just back from Nepal. Truly a guy good at enjoying the life. I put it in my friends links and highly recommend it to you.

Besides, I update some pages today. Put a little more pictures, about ten I guess. Because it is hot outside, haven't taken pictures for some time. Will put new photos on once they are available. You can find whether one page is updated from the updating date shown at the end of it. It is generated automatically by program.

Jun. 26, 2003

I am currently at home, a bit busy. Sometimes, the handphone may not be on, so you can call my home number to contact me. Almost no update today, just modification of some links.

Jun. 20, 2003

I found the guestbook from NetEase was inconvenient to use since it requires registration. So I replace it with a new guestbook today. This guestbook doesn't require you to disclose any personal information. In addition, You can even leave a private message, which can only be seen by me instead of all.

Jun. 19, 2003

Yesterday is the birth date of the website. Glad to see there are about 50 friends came here. Today two friends Wang Zhengyuan and Liu Jin join the friendslinks. Management part is added.

Jun. 18, 2003

Finished uploading. The website is under testing. Some links may not be functional. Will solve ASAP.

Do let me know if you have any comments. You may leave message online or drop me an email at wangxf@ieee.org.

Hope you like it!

Jun. 17, 2003

Finished publishing all the photos. Exhausted.

Jun. 15, 2003

After 5-hour hard work, I finished the main structure construction!

Jun. 13, 2003

It's almost a sudden idea for me to setup a new website. My past website is in Yahoo, but is never finished constructing. I merely used it a storehouse. :o(

Because it cannot be accessed from China, I decided to abandon it finally.

I plan to construct this website as my home online. I will be updating it frequently. You can expect to find all my new progresses  here.
